ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA
Allegheny County is a county located in the southwestern area of Pennsylvania. The name Allegheny is of Lenape Indian origin. Allegheny County has three major rivers that flow through it, i.e., Allegheny River, Monongahela River and the Youghiogheny River. According to the 2010 census, approximately 1,223,348 people resided in the county making it the second most populated county in Pennsylvania, behind Philadelphia.
